Beauty Love - Chapter 24 - Lady Adeline Mcfadden

Chapter 24
Lady Adeline Mcfadden

The Palace

            It was almost dark when the carts passed the big gate of The Palace. Adeline started feel the nervous, but his father held her gently comfort her with warm smile. They could see guests had already coming, attending The Queen’s birthday. The air of joyful was so intense here. And now Adeline felt the tense as they approached the castle. It wasn’t her first time to come here, she had ever come here once before, with her father when she was 13 years old, but the dreading of nervous and excited was as the Kiane as she first time came here. She knew why, of course it was because They Queen had invited her by herself, and would be crowned by her. She couldn’t hold her excitement.

As the cart’s door open, his father stepped out first then helped the little stepped out. Adeline took her breath and looked around nervously. They guests were all the noble people. They were Earls, Barons and the Marques like her father.  They wore their best dress.  The Ladies were in best gown and looked so beautiful. Adeline felt his nervous, felt so small in this society, like she wasn’t belong here, not at this class. She still couldn’t believe she would live in this society class.
Lord McFadden could feel his daughter’s nervous and he kept held her hand gently.
    “No need to worry, love, you’ll be alright,” he soothed her.
    “Yes, father,” she nodded with the smiled. She looked to her brother and Shane who smiled at her comforted so she could a little bit comfort.

With the pride and confident, Adeline started to walk beside her father stepped inside the great castle.


As they came inside, they right away took the guest attention. All eyes went through to the beautiful lady right beside Lord McFadden as they believed she was the Lord McFadden’s little daughter. They finally met her again, and they should admit it, she was so beautiful. Her slim and shape body was so right on her beautiful velvet gown.  They couldn’t hide their admiration.
Adeline even felt the nervous. They knew all eyes were on her, but she didn’t know how they all admired of her, and she could only send a little smile politely. She knew she brought her father’s name, and she wouldn’t disgrace her family. And rightly, her father introduced her to everyone who greeted them politely and warmly. Adeline did her best of being a nice little lady, so well manner and kept elegant. This made them even mesmerized.

            And one of her admirer was a young prince who stood not far from her. Nicholas watched fascinated the beauty of the young lady. He had never seen the beautiful girl like her, not even the beautiful girl beside him who he believed only chasing his crown. But this girl was so young, so polite, and so beautiful. He felt the crush on her. If he was on his own castle, he probably had approached her and introducing himself. But no, he was at his aunty palace, he couldn’t be so disrespected, especially leave his lady for the new lady. No he wouldn’t. He was The First Prince of Ireland, and he was invited by her aunty for her 70 birthday. And he believed he wouldn’t regret for his coming here.

    “Claudia, do you know who’s that lady is?” Nicholas asked the young lady who always accompany him, of course for some purpose.
Claudia looked the lady Prince Nicholas directed.
    “Oh, that might be Marques McFadden’s daughter, My Prince,” with jealousy sound. “This is her debutant; no doubt she took their attention.”
Nicholas had to smile, “Yes, indeed, she has.” ‘Including me’! Not leaving his eyes from the perfect figure. Suddenly their eyes met and stunned him. What a lovely eyes she had! So blue and deep, showed her intelligent but yet so soft. She smiled shyly and turned away from him. And at that moment, Nicholas believed this little lady had taken all his heart, and he wouldn’t let her go.
Claudia’s jealousy rose up.
    “My Prince, The Queen has already come out, we have to stay there,” Claudia pointed an area, the royal family, where the should belong.
    “Ah, alright,” Nicholas just nodded, and let Claudia dragged him but never leave his eyes for the pretty lady.


The bell rang signed the party we’ll be started. The Queen came to the ball room. Her veiled head was encircled with a gold crown, and the deep sleeves of her green gown were trimmed in pearls and gold embroidery. She welcoming and greeted her guest warmly. All guests sent their wishes, and wished the long and happy life for the queen. Long Live The Queen.

            And finally the next part of the birthday part was come; introducing and crowning the new lady.

Adeline felt nervous again, especially when each one the young lady was called approached and crowned by The Queen. And the last but not least, it was her turn to be called.

    “Adeline Shauna Grainne McFadden.”

Adeline took her deep breath and walked confidently elegant on the aisle to the Queen. All eyes were on her.

When she was just under her throne, Adeline bowed sweetly, showed her honored to The Queen, and kept her eyes down.
The Queen rose from her throne and approached the Young lady.

    “Raise your head, my child,” she said gently.
Slowly in nervous Adeline raised her head and meet The Queen’s eyes.
The Queen looked the young lady.
    “You are Adeline, daughter of Marques McFadden?” she asked softly.
    “Yes, I am, Your Majesty,” she answered politely.
    “You are so beautiful, my dear,” she had to admit it. “You are likely your mother. I knew Lady Evelyn and you absolutely have her face.”
Adeline blushed, “Thank you, You Majesty.”
    “We had heard you about you, my dear, and yes indeed they were right, you are look so mesmerized. And is alright if we call you Lady Mesmerize?”
    “Yes, Your Majesty.”
    “Well, I shall crown you Lady Mesmerize then?”
Adeline kept silent. Her heart pounded. She never thought she would be called Lady Mesmerize.”
    “As you wish, Your Majesty.”
    “What is the matter, my dear? You don’t like it?”
    “No, Your Majesty,” Adeline answered right away. “I like it very much. Thank you, very much Your Majesty.”
The Queen smiled.
    “Well, I shall begin crown you.”
With that she rose from her feet and touched Adeline’s blond beautiful hair.
    “By the royal power vest on me I crown you ‘Adeline Shauna Grainne McFadden to A Lady Mesmerize’, and you are welcome anytime to this palace. May you can use your status for a good thing. May you be a great lady for your family and your country. God Bless you, My Child.”
Adeline bowed, and felt the honor of the crown.
    “Thank You, Your Majesty.”
The Queen gave her hand, and Adeline kissed it polity. The Queen smiled satisfied.
    “And I heard you can play better piano, my child?” she asked suddenly.
Adeline gulped nervously. “I’m not that better, Your Majesty.”
    “Well, I do not believe, my pretty child. Why don’t you play for me, my dear? Please entertain us. I believed we all in this ball room can’t wait to hear your playing.”
Adeline went silent. She actually didn’t ready for this shot. But she was at the palace, and this was Queen’s wished.
She finally nodded, “As you wish, Your Majesty.”
The Queen smiled happily. “Please, my dear.”
With that Adeline rose up and took a bow, then reached the nearest piano. It was grand and black. So beautiful.

Nervously she sat before the piano. She looked around, and yes they had waiting with excitement for her playing.
Adeline took her deep breath, and started to play. She chose one song which hadn’t the title. The one she most loved.
And soon she drifted on her own piano. Not only her, but the whole ballroom. They were all drowned with the beautiful music she played. The rumor was right. She could play better piano amazingly. This lady was really mesmerizing.

It went while, when she finished it. The great applause came from the guest. They really loved her play and her song even they never heard before.

    “Beautiful, my child,” The Queen gave the applause pleasantly. “You really drowned us with that song. Is that a soppy song?”
    “Yes, Your Majesty.”
    “And why you played that song on my birthday, My Dear?”
Adeline went pale, she played a wrong song! The Queen didn’t pleasant with it.
    “Forgive me, Your Majesty,” she bowed for forgiveness.
    “No…no… it’s alright, it doesn’t matter, I like it.”
Adeline sighed relieve ness. “Thank you, Your Majesty,” and bowed
    “And you just remind me to my nephew who always played such a soppy song like that. He really can play better piano too, my dear,” she smiled. “Probably you can duet with him?”
That stunned Adeline, and everyone there.
    “Where is he?” she looked around. “Nicholas…?”
